Self-Service Guide: How to Look Up a BitLocker Recovery Key in Azure

Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements

  1. A valid Creighton email account (NETID@creighton.edu

  1. Your Creighton email account password.

  1. A BitLocker recovery key prompt displayed on your assigned device.

How to Steps

  1. Navigate to https://myaccount.microsoft.com on a device connected to the Internet.

On the main page, locate the Devices tile and click the MANAGE DEVICES text button.

  1. Click the device name, then select View BitLocker Keys


 

On the BitLocker Keys details page for the device, complete the following steps to view the BitLocker recovery key

  1. Click the Show recovery key button.

     

  2. Enter the 48-digit numeric Recovery Key on the locked device and press Enter to continue with the recovery process.
