Mac Users - On most Banner forms, a user can extract data into a spreadsheet. Steps to follow if spreadsheet does not appear.

Banner – Extracting Data – Using a Mac and Safari

Mac Users - On most Banner forms, a user can extract data into a spreadsheet. Sometimes the spreadsheet does not appear.

• If a user is attempting to extract data and nothing appears, have the user check their pop-up blocker settings for their web browser.
• If the pop-up blocker is ON, have the user turn it OFF. They may have to exit Banner and reenter to have the settings take effect.
• Other things to look out for: The extract may have happened, but the spreadsheet does not appear – check the Start Up menu – the Excel icon may be highlighted, which indicates a spreadsheet is present. 

Mac Users using Safari:

1. After selecting Help – Extract Data with Key, a tab opens in Safari with data.
2. Select File, then Save As.
3. Save as a Page Source, not a web archive.
4. The extract will save as an Excel spreadsheet.
