End State / Outcome
Outlook (.PST) archived emails migrated to the Cloud on a PC.
How to Steps
Note: Steps listed below indicate one way to migrate locally stored Outlook archived emails to the Cloud on a PC with great success.
1. Open your local Outlook email account on your computer.
2. Open a browser and go to www.creighton.edu and select CUMAIL to login to your OWA (Outlook Web Access) email account.
3. Once logged in, compare email folders from your Outlook client and OWA. If you are missing folders that you see when using your Outlook client at work, you may have archived emails needing to be migrated from your local computer out to the Cloud.
4. Open your local Outlook email client, locate and expand your Archive directory so that the subdirectory folders are visible (see Figure 1 below).
5. Place your mouse pointer over the archive subfolder you want to copy (see below).
NOTE: It is NOT recommended to copy your entire Archive folder, they should be manually copied individually.

6. Hold your right-mouse button over the folder you want copied and drag the folder, releasing your right-mouse button on the Inbox. You should be presented with the option to Copy which you want to select, (it is not recommended to Move the folder).

7. Once the previous copying has completed, select the next folder (see Figure 3 below) and repeat steps 5 and 6 for each additional folder you want copied to the Cloud.

8. You can refresh the OWA (Outlook Web Access) email account every so often to verify that you see your copied folders under the Inbox location.
9. Once all folders appear in OWA, this will validate that your folders have been successfully migrated to the Cloud. You may now go to your local Outlook client and right-mouse click on your archive folder and select Delete Folder for final cleanup.
