How to Steps

Student information is protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). All requests to access student information in Banner must be submitted via the Student Banner Access service offering in Creighton’s ticketing application located at https://myservices.creighton.edu.

The Student Banner Access service offering will automatically request your access for any information selected during the submission of the form directly from the department(s) that are responsible for that information. Tickets submitted under different services do not get approval from these data owners and can not be fulfilled. These tickets will be closed and a communication email containing a link of this article will be sent to the requester with the following instructions to resubmit a ticket:

  1. Go to myservices.creighton.edu.
  2. Select myIT Service Desk.
  3. Select Accounts and Access.
  4. Select Banner.
  5. Select Request Student Banner Access.
  6. Complete the form.
  • You will need to select only the type(s) of information and access level needed to fulfill your position’s responsibilities.
    • Query: View Data
    • Update: View and Modify Data
    • Administrator: Access to Administration Forms
  1. Please enter any specific Banner Form names into the Additional Banner Forms Required section on the bottom.
  2. Read and Agree to the Confidentiality Acknowledgement.
  3. Sign the form via the eSignature.
  4. Submit the form.
