Summary

If you have an Office 365 or other Microsoft Exchange-based email service, use Outlook on the web to share your calendar with people inside or outside your organization. Depending on the permission you give them, they can view your calendar, edit it, or act as your delegate for meeting requests.

Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements

  • Users of the Office 365 System will have a valid, active Creighton NETID and Password.
  • User has access to a computer with Internet connection.
  • People to invite to meeting are also set up in Microsoft Outlook’s domain of users.

End State / Outcome

  • Users will be able invite other Outlook users to a meeting.

How to Send a Meeting Request in Outlook

Outlook allows you to share your calendar with people inside or outside your organization. Depending on the permission you give them, they can view your calendar, edit it, or act as your delegate for meeting requests.

 

 

  1. Open a web browser, go to https://outlook.office.com, and sign in.
  2. Click the Calendar icon in the left navigation pane.
  3. Select New Event or double-click a date on the calendar.
  4. Enter the meeting details:
    • Title: Meeting subject
    • Invite Attendees: Add participant email addresses
    • Date and Time: Set the start and end times
    • Location: Enter a physical location or select Add Online Meeting
    • Description: Include an agenda or meeting notes
  5. Click More options to configure recurrence, reminders, or attach files.
  6. Select Send to distribute the meeting invitation.
