Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements
- A named user license has been provided by technology lifecycle
- No other creative cloud applications or an existing Adobe Acrobat Pro software is installed
- If any old or an existing Acrobat is installed, it must be removed.

How to Steps
Adobe Creative cloud Named user licensing is when an individual has been assigned a license directly by name. This is different from shared user licensing. Typically, individuals provided a named license will install the software themselves. Alternatively, the Ivanti EPM portal or JAMF self-service portal can be used to install the desktop application.
Note: This application updates frequently. Desktop engineering will not continuously update this application in the software portals. This application does self-update upon sign in. This may briefly delay the installation of the rest of the products while this product auto updates itself
Self Installations via the Adobe Webpage : Note: Do not install any other application such as Photoshop from the webpage. The only application that should be downloaded and installed via the webpage is the creative cloud desktop application.
- Go to the https://creativecloud.adobe.com/en/apps/download/creative-cloud or adobe.com webpage.
- Download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application
- This application will require admin rights to install.
- The use should contact the Central Action Center.
- Central Action Center will remote in and use either the local admin account or their own domain level admin account to install
- Central Action Center should not grant temporary admin rights for this one-time installation
- Once the Adobe Creative Cloud application is installed, the customer uses their assigned netid@creighton.edu account to sign into the software
- Once the application launches, all the other Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, INDesign and others can be individually downloaded. (If downloaded via the Creative Cloud desktop application, these additional Adobe software applications do not require admin credentials.)
Windows install via Ivanti Endpoint manager portal manager. (Available to all Faculty & Staff Windows devices)
- Open up the Ivanti Portal.
- Click Software under Categories.
- Click Install under Public – Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop

Software Distribution tasks
- On Windows, a shortcut will be placed on the desktop and added into the start menu program files
Macintosh installation via JAMF Self Service. (Available for all Faculty & Staff Apple devices)
- Open up the JAMF myIT self-service application
- Click on All, or click Adobe Policies or just type Adobe in the search box.

- Click Install.
- On a mac, the application will be placed in the applications men (Go/Applications or in the Launchpad).

- New users will sign in with netid@creighton.edu unless otherwise provided by technology lifecycle.
- Technology lifecycle may notify the user or requester directly and in some very specific individual cases it may be a shared mailbox address.
Sign in Page
- Once the account is signed in including through the two factor authentication, the desktop app will open (rest of sign in process not covered in this document)
- Once the desktop application is successfully launched, the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications can be installed, updated or if already installed, opened directly from the app.
CC Desktop Application
- Install, update or open the rest of the applications directly from within the desktop application. Do not install via other means such as the webpage. Installations from this application do not require admin rights.
