How to Steps
If you have a certificate that is close to expiring and need to renew, follow the steps outlined below.
- If your current certificate is not 2048 bit or greater, you will need to generate a new certificate signing request (CSR) with a new private key that is 2048 bits.
- If you still have the old CSR, you can reuse it provided it was generated from a 2048 bit key. If not, you can generate a new one based off the existing key.
- You will need the current certificate itself. If you still have the email from GlobalSign when you were issued the certificate, you can copy and paste it into the renewal form, otherwise you will have to export the certificate from your application.
- Go to https://my.creighton.edu/group/doit/ssl-form.
- Make sure to select the Renew radio button.
- You will need to enter the CSR you generated AND the current certificate that you exported from your application.
- Fill out the rest of the form as appropriate and click Continue.
- You will be given a chance to review the information you submitted.
- Click Submit.
- The security team will review the request and you should receive an email containing the new certificate from GlobalSign within 24 hours
