If you're encountering the error message: For the best experience, open this portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Open Preflight in Adobe Acrobat.

  1. Open the problematic PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Go to Tools > Print Production and select Preflight.

Step 2: Flatten Annotations and Form Fields

  1. In the Preflight window, search for flatten in the search bar.
  2. Select Flatten annotations and form fields from the list of options.
  3. Click Fix.

Step 3: Reprint the PDF

  1. Once the flattening process is complete, go to File > Print.
  2. Choose Adobe PDF as the printer.
  3. Click Print and save the file with a new name.

Step 4: Verify the Fix

  1. Open the newly saved PDF.
  2. Confirm that the error message no longer appears.
