Use, application, and tips for physical moveable decals.

Answer

Creighton University currently uses physical permits. These movable permits facilitate carpooling, easy switching between vehicles, and eliminate the need to obtain a new permit when purchasing a new vehicle. Below is the information regarding the use, application, and tips for the parking decal.

Use Instructions:

  • The decal is only valid if properly affixed and clearly visible on the inside of the windshield, lower right-hand passenger side corner.
  • The physical decal must be displayed on any vehicle parked on campus, without exception.
  • Remove the permit prior to selling the vehicle, using a different vehicle, or carpooling.

Application:

  • Apply only to the inside of clean, dry glass. Bend the backing carefully and remove the liner. Place the permit in position and rub it firmly onto the surface.
  • The decal must be affixed using the manufacturer’s adhesive.
  • The decal is not valid if laminated, taped, or placed on the vehicle dashboard.

Tips:

  • Leave half the liner attached to make it easier to move the decal from vehicle to vehicle.
  • If the decal won’t stick, gently rinse it with water to remove debris and air dry.
  • Do not place the decal on paper or fabric.
  • Transport the decal easily in a plastic baggie.
