Unless explicitly stated on the documentation for a method, the accepted Web API call content types are:

Calls using any other content type (ex: text/plain) are not supported.

TeamDynamix.Api.Assets.Asset.ExternalSourceName

The name of the configuration item source associated with the asset.

String Not Editable

The name of the configuration item source associated with the asset, if it originated in a third-party CMDB system; otherwise, null.
