Installing SAS and SPSS on Creighton-Owned Computers

Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements

  • Must be Faculty, Staff, or Student with an active Creighton affiliation
  • Must be using a Creighton-owned and managed computer
  • Operating system requirements:
    • SAS: Windows only
    • SPSS: Windows or macOS
  • Device must be properly enrolled in Creighton IT management services to access software portals

 

End State / Outcome

  • SAS or SPSS is successfully installed on the requester’s Creighton-owned device
  • The software is available for use for academic, instructional, or research purposes
  • Installation is completed without the need for manual IT intervention when using the approved self-service tools

 

How to Steps

 

Windows Computers (SAS and SPSS)

  1. Sign in to your Creighton-owned Windows computer
  2. Open Portal Manager or Company Portal
  3. Search for SAS or SPSS
  4. Select the desired application
  5. Click Install and allow the installation to complete

macOS Computers (SPSS Only)

  1. Sign in to your Creighton-owned Mac
  2. Open the Self Service application
  3. Locate SPSS
  4. Click Install and wait for the installation to finish

Note: SAS is not supported on macOS and will not appear in Self Service.
