How do I reset my BLUE password

I forgot my BLUE password, or I’m locked out. How do I reset my BLUE password?

If you’ve lost your password, it’s expired, or you accidentally locked your account, you can reset it easily.

  1. Visit the Account Management Interface (AMI) web site and click on "Forgot your password?".
  2. You will be asked for your NetID and answers to two of the security questions you defined during account activation.
  3. A verification code will be sent to your alternative email address or text device (whichever you specified during account activation).
  4. Retrieve this verification code, enter it into AMI and you will be allowed to reset your password.

Is "12345” a good password?

You know the answer to that! Passwords must be at least eight characters long and contain at least three of the four types of characters: Upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters such as !#$%&(). Your password cannot contain any part of your name or NetID and must be changed every 180 days. Visit the passwords page for information on building a good, secure password.

Security Profile

If you have not created a security profile, please contact the Service Desk for assistance. The Service Desk will validate your identity (via our validation software, or will request photo ID), and then provide you a one-time password, which you can use to activate your account and then create a security profile, provide an alternate email or cell phone number, and to set your Blue password. Your security profile provides a method for you to reset it without technical assistance from myIT. To set your security profile, please follow these instructions.

The Service Desk can be reached at 402-280-1111, or 800-329-1011

Remember: BLUE passwords expire every 180 days.

You will receive an email notification in your CUmail inbox approximately 2 weeks before your password expires. The email should have directions and a link to https://ami.creighton.edu to allow you to change your password.

Manage your Account

You can manage your BLUE account by going to https://ami.creighton.edu where you can change/reset your password, update your security profile, search for people in the Creighton directory, or update what information is shown by you in the directory
