How to Steps

Typo3 Unresponsive

Typo3 sometimes becomes unresponsive or behaves erratically. When this happens, you need to clear cache. As of the spring 2018, Typo3 powers hundreds of sites and thousands of pages of Creighton’s total web presence, such as Human Resources, Student Life, Public Safety, and Financial Aid.

An incident of this erratic behavior occurred when Typo3 sites on www-b started responding with the following error:

“NO entry in the $TCA-array for the table tt_content. This means that the function enableFields() is called with an invalid table name as argument.”

Clearing the cache on Typo3 resolved this.

  1. https://http//typo3.creighton.edu/typo3/Log into Typo3 at
  2. Click the clear cache lightning bolt.
  3. Refresh the page that was not behaving as expected to confirm that clearing the cache worked.
