Installing RefWorks on Microsoft Word

RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and data set supervisor that allows you to make your own database by importing references from text files or online database and other different sources. You can utilize these references recorded in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds. This guide assists users to install RefWorks on Microsoft word.

 

 If you already have RefWorks account, please skip to step 4

1.     Go to https://refworks.proquest.com/signup/email/

2.     Enter your Creighton email address and create a password.

3.     Click the activation link in the confirmation email to complete your account setup.

4.     Open MS word.

5.     Click Insert on top menu.

6.     Click Get Add-ins.

7.     Under ADMIN MANAGED, click RefWorks Citation Manger.

8.     Click Add.

9.     RCM option is now added on your word menu, click RCM.

10.  Click RefWorks Citation Manager.

11.  Additional pop-up menu will open on the right corner.

12.  Login with your RefWorks account to use RefWorks Citation Manager.
