NetID FAQs for Faculty, Staff, and Students

Tags netid ID

Answer

When you become a student or employee at Creighton University, you'll get a NetID. This NetID is your username and is linked to your BLUE password. It consists of three letters (usually your initials) and five random numbers. It can't be changed.

Access and Usage

Your NetID provides access to online resources such as:

  • Email and Office applications

  • BlueLine

  • NEST

Faculty and Staff

  • Assigned a NetID when their records are created.

  • The NetID remains active as long as they're employed with Creighton.

Students

  • Automatically assigned a NetID upon admission.

  • The NetID remains active as long as they're enrolled in classes.

  • If not registered for classes during two consecutive terms (excluding summer), the NetID will be removed along with access to email and the University network.

  • Graduates are allowed to keep their NetID and Creighton Email.

Password Setup

  • Visit ami.creighton.edu to change password or activate account.

  • Use a private combination of letters and numbers that would be hard for anyone else to guess when setting up or changing your NetID password.
