Forum Video Wall Instructions - WHSC 401D3

How to Steps

There is a touch-panel to the left of the video wall in the WHSC Forum area on the 4th floor. Pressing anywhere will turn the system on, and you will see the below screen.

  • When in Centered or Split, the inputs may be selected by drop-down boxes. The inputs are:
    • Media Player A - Digital signage.
    • Media Player B - A PC streaming Cox Cable. Changes to displayed content can be granted by reaching out to the Learning Environments team. 
    • Laptop - A solstice pod input.
    • Wallplate - Allows connection through an HDMI port beneath the touch panel. 
  • The displays can all be turned off by pressing the Off button under the Settings button. 

  • Centered is the default view. 
    • In this view the selected input will be stretched four screens wide by three screens high. 
    • The volume controls appear at the bottom right, including a mute. 
    • The drop down box, showing Media Player B above, is the selected input.

  • Split allows for two inputs each covering half of the video wall, Left Window and Right Window
    • Audio will play out of the source selected under Left Window.

  • Information is for digital signage and management permissions can be granted upon request. 
    • This displays the Media Player A input in a 4 display wide by 3 display high format.

  • Background is a muted stream from a PC in the data closet.
    • By default, this PC is running a stream from Cox Cable.
    • The channel for this display can be changed upon request to the Learning Environments team. 

  • There are multiple microphone options for this space. 
    • Handheld and Lavalier microphones are available upon request. 
      • Handheld microphone is controlled by Mic 1.
      • Lavalier microphone is controlled by Mic 2.
    • There are two microphone input/output ports beneath the touch panel for connecting additional microphones. 
    • Volume controls for each of these microphone options appears above.
