ProctorU and Guradian Browser Support Guidelines

Summary

ProctorU is Creighton's new partner for remote secure test delivery - formerly, Creighton worked with Examity for this solution. ProctorU has their own dedicated secure browser called Guardian used to connect students securely with proctors and ensure a compliant testing environment. Support for this service is officially provided by the Center for Faculty Excellence's Exam Hot line and the vendor. ProctorU uses their own credentials, separate from Creighton accounts.

Purpose

This article provides some basic resources that can be provided to students to get them on the right track, as well as contact information for the Exam Hotline and ProctorU's own support.

Guidelines or Steps

  1. Basic Troubleshooting - Requirements for Using ProctorU.
    1. You must have a stable and secure WiFi connection.
    2. You must be on supported hardware and software.
    3. You must be on an actively supported and licensed version of the Windows or Mac operating system.
    4. You must have the Guardian browser installed.
