Answer
Faculty, staff, and students can purchase garage parking in the Catalina Parking Garage in Phoenix on a first come, first served basis. Creighton has 500 stalls allocated for our use. There are no physical decals. You will access the garage with your Creighton JayCard. Permits for the Catalina Parking Garage can be purchased through JayPark. Access is uploaded within 2 business days after the chosen start date. Daily options can be purchased directly from the garage.
The Catalina Parking Garage is a leased space not Creighton owned. This does create limitations of what Parking Services can assist with.
- Parking Services cannot reimburse any persons for payments made directly to the garage.
- There is no physical permit.
- There is a time delay from when a file with parking information is sent to the garage and when the garage management can input the information. This means the effective dates and expiration dates are very important. The effective date should be at least 2 business day prior to the date parking in needed.
- There is no real time trouble shooting available. If you are having issues entering the garage and you have verified you have an active permit through JayPark and you are presenting the card to the reader by itself not with other cards, you will need to submit a ticket Parking Services and include a picture of the front and back of the JayCard being swiped. The pictures must be in jpeg format.
- If you get a new JayCard or purchase your permit prior to having your JayCard printed the card information does not push to the garage management company automatically. You will need to submit a ticket Parking Services and include a picture of the front and back of the JayCard being swiped.
At this time there are no day or time restrictions as long as you have a valid permit.
