Answer
At Creighton University, everyone shares the responsibility of keeping information secure.
Given the current global situation, cybercriminals are looking for chances to exploit individuals. They may try to trick you into clicking on a link in an email or opening an attachment that can infect your computer with viruses or malware.
One way we are working to protect Creighton is by conducting simulated phishing tests. These tests will regularly send fake phishing emails to faculty, staff, and students. The goal is not to trick or embarrass anyone, but to enhance our security awareness by keeping potential threats in mind. Phishing simulations are a widely used training method in AJCU and other higher education institutions.
If you receive a phishing email, please report it by clicking the Report button at the top right of your Outlook email, or simply delete it as you normally would. If you accidentally click on a suspicious link or provide information in a simulated phishing message, you will receive training that explains what happened, how to identify phishing emails, and how to enhance your information security.
