Windows Update Stuck on "Pending Download" or "Working on Updates"
Windows Updates can occasionally become stuck in a "Pending Download" or "Working on Updates" state. A quick fix is to temporarily pause Windows Updates by selecting a date about a week in the future, then immediately resume updates by changing the date back to today. This refreshes the Windows Update cache and often allows stalled updates to download and install successfully.
