Setting up Cisco 8845 four 4 Digit Dialing & Phone Logs on CHIAcademic Network at CHI Locations

Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements

  • This fix is only for Creighton phones located at CHI locations.

End State / Outcome

  • Phones will start actively store phone logs information and allow 4 digit dialing back to Creighton phones.

How to Steps

The instructions below will allow 4 digit dialing back Creighton phones and activate phone logs.

 1.    Press the setting button – gear icon.

2.    Select Option 6 – Admin Setting – person & gear icon.

3.    Select Option 1 – Ethernet Setup.

4.    Select Option 1 – Ipv4 Setup.

5.    Select Option 8 – Alternate TFTP.

6.    Select On – 1st button on the right-hand side below the display.

7.    Arrow down to 9 TFTP server 1 – enter 10.33.160.1.

8.    Arrow down to 10 TFTP server 2 – enter 10.33.160.2.

9.    Select Apply – 2nd button on the left-hand side below the display.

10.  Select Exit.

11.  Select Exit.

12.  The phone will proceed to save the changes, this may take a couple of minutes.
