OnTheHub provides Creighton University students, faculty, and staff with access to software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, IBM SPSS, and other discounted software products through online purchase and digital delivery.
Microsoft 365 is not available through OnTheHub at a discounted rate. Instead, eligible students, faculty, and staff can install Microsoft 365 Apps on up to five devices, including personal computers, tablets, and mobile devices, through the University's Microsoft licensing program.
Eligibility
- Students: Access a variety of discounted software for educational use.
- Faculty and Staff: Select software may be available through Work-At-Home licensing agreements.
Extended Access Guarantee
Information Technology (IT) strongly recommends purchasing the Extended Access Guarantee when obtaining software through OnTheHub. This option provides access to your downloads and license keys for up to two years, making it easier to reinstall software or recover license information if needed.
Important Information
- Software purchased through OnTheHub is intended for personally owned devices only and should not be installed on University-owned computers.
- IT does not provide support for personal computers. Installation, updates, maintenance, licensing, and troubleshooting of purchased software are the responsibility of the user.
Microsoft 365 for Personal Use
Eligible students, faculty, and staff can install Microsoft 365 Apps on up to five personal devices, including Windows PCs, Macs, tablets, and mobile devices. Eligibility is determined by your affiliation with the University. Full-time faculty, staff, residents, and currently enrolled students are eligible for Microsoft 365 desktop applications.
How to Install Microsoft 365
- Navigate to https://portal.office.com.
- Sign in using your NetID@creighton.edu email address and Blue password.
- Click the App Launcher (the nine-dot grid icon) in the upper-left corner.
- Select Apps.
- Select More Apps.
- Click Install apps in the upper-right corner.
- Select Microsoft 365 apps.
- On the Office apps & devices page, click Install Office.
- Close all open applications before running the installer.
- Open the downloaded installation file from your Downloads folder.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
- If prompted, enter the administrator credentials for your device.
- When installation is complete, open a Microsoft 365 application (such as Word) and sign in using your NetID@creighton.edu account and Blue password to activate the software.
