Cisco phones, how to find the MAC address of a Cisco 800-series IP phone
A MAC (ethernet) address may be required when submitting a telephone-related ticket. Here are instructions on how to obtain the MAC address for a Cisco 8800-series IP phone. Please note that this is the MAC address of the PHONE, and not the MAC address of the computer connected to the phone.
There are two ways to find the MAC address:
1. Printed on a black sticker on the rear of the phone set, or
2. Available through the phone's own menu system. If the phone is powered on:
Press the Applications Button (Gear button).
Press the number of the Application corresponding with "Admin settings" (probably number 6).
Press 1 for Ethernet Setup.
On the screen which appears, the Mac address will be listed on the 3rd line down.
