Clean Uninstall of Jabber

Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements

  •      Mac computer
  •      Have Cisco Jabber installed

End State / Outcome

  • You will be able to do a full/clean uninstall of Cisco Jabber

How to Steps

How to fully uninstall Cisco Jabber from your Mac device.
 

  1. Go into applications (go/applications) and drag the Cisco Jabber installer to the trash. Then I'd add a #2 If a Jabber item was pinned to the dock, remove it (right click icon, select options/remove from dock or drag the icon over to trash)
  3. Go back to Go to Folder and type /Users/(user name)/Library/Caches.
  4. Find com.cisco.Jabber and move that file to Trash.
  5. Go back to Go to Folder and type /Users/(user name)/Library/Application Support/CrashReporter.
  6. Find the Cisco Jabber.plist file in that location and move that to Trash (if it is there).
  7. Trash Empty your and restart your computer.
