CHI Cisco 8845 Phone Fix CHIAcademic Locations

Common Signs or Symptoms:

Call logs are not being updated and allow 4 digits dialing from all CHIAcademic locations.

Solution Steps:

When the phone first gets plugged into the network jack it will come up with a window with Service Domain.

  1. Press Setting Button (Gear Icon).
  2. Select Option 6 – Admin Settings (Person & Gear Icon)..
  3. Press Option 1 – Ethernet Setup.
  4. Now select Option 1 – Ipv4 setup.
  5. Press Option 8 – Alternate TFTP.
  6. Press On – 1st button on the right hand of the bottom of the display.
  7. Arrow down to 9 TFTP server 1 and enter 10.33.160.1.
  8. Arrow down to 10 TFTP server 2 and enter 10.33.160.2.
  9. Select Apply – 2nd button from the left hand side on the button of the display.
  10. Press Exit.
  11. Choose Exit again.
  12. The phone will proceed to connect to the network, this may take a couple of minutes.
