How to Steps
Updating Login/Network Drive with new Blue Password on Creighton Windows machine off campus.
This document will give guidance if someone changes blue password from home on a Creighton Device and is having trouble logging into computer with the new updated password or if the user is having problems accessing Network Drives after password update.
- User will be able to update the computer login password and network drives with the new blue password.
- New Blue password must be completed by end user first.
- To update Creighton computer with new password: VPN (Global Protect) must be connected.
- Once connected to VPN, I would let it sit on VPN connection for a few minutes and then press ctrl+alt+del and lock the computer.
- Sign back into the computer with the new blue password.
- You should be successful and then you can check and make sure Network Drives are reachable as well.
Also double check Outlook, Office Applications, OneDrive, and Global Protect for updated credentials. In some cases, you can also double check Windows 10>Windows Settings>Accounts>Access work or school> and disconnect from work or school account and reconnect afterwards.
