How to Steps
This combination A4/flatbed/ADF scanner is used in the Registrar’s Office to scan transcripts, primarily older ones as current transcripts are electronic. This scanner is attached via USB to a Dell laptop and used by an administrative assistant, Rebecca Putzer, as of April 2023. The device is currently located in the Office of the Registrar in Brandeis 212 until Summer 2023, when the office will be relocated to the first floor area of the Harper building.
The device scans A4 portrait documents at 80 ppm/160 ipm (200/300 dpi), and is capable of loading up to 80 sheets at a time and scanning up to as many as 11,000 sheets a day.

Currently the software used is PaperStream Capture Basic (not Pro). This software is provided by Fujitsu.

Software
1. To obtain the software for Windows 11 go to https://www.pfu.ricoh.com/global/scanners/fi/dl/win-11-fi-7x80.html
2. Download the following software:
o PaperStream IP (TWAIN) 3.20.0
o PaperStream IP (ISIS) for fi-71xx/72xx 3.20.0
o PaperStream Capture 3.5.0
3. Install the software in that order. When installing the PaperStream Capture software, select Basic as the install, not Pro.
4. The user will select a directory for the scans, and then will move the scans from that directory to a shared network drive.

Notes
Create working folders within the PaperStream software, as moving folders into the PaperStream directory from outside the program will result in a permissions error that cannot be cleared and the program must be uninstalled and reinstalled to fix the permissions error (see IN229321).
