Installing VPN on Personal PC

 

How to Steps

Instructions for installing the VPN (virtual Private Network) on your personal PC.

  1. To start, download the GlobalProtect client for your personal PC by going to https://blue-vpn.creighton.edu.
  2. Log in with your NetID and BLUE Password.

 

 

  1.        Select the appropriate version of Windows installer to download, either 32-bit or 64-bit.
  2.        To determine if you have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, click your Start button, and right-click on Computer and select Properties. On Windows 10 only: right click the Start button and select System.
  3.        In the Window that appears you will see 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System.

 

  1.         Once the file has downloaded, run the file and follow the installation prompts.
  2.         When the installation finishes, select close.
  3.        You will now see the following window. Enter blue-vpn.creighton.edu in the Portal Address field. Click Connect.     

 

  1.        Once you click Connect, you will now see the following window.

 

 

  1.  Enter your NetID in the Username field, your BLUE Password in the Password field, and Sign in. GlobalProtect will minimize to the System tray with a check mark on it once it connects.

7.    

 

  1.   Click the globe to bring up the connection window and options.

 

  1.        You can now close the window and stay connected to VPN or select File>Disconnect to end your VPN session.
  2.       To reconnect, right-click on the GlobalProtect icon in your system tray and select Connect or navigate to it from Start > All Programs > Palo Alto Networks > GlobalProtect and then choose File > Connect.
