How to Clear Your Browser Cache, Cookies, and History

  • After completing these steps, your browser’s cache, cookies, and history will be cleared. This can help resolve loading issues, display errors, or problems signing
    into web applications.

How to Steps

Safari (Mac) – Version 8.0 and Later

  1. Click Safari in the top-left corner of your screen and select Preferences.

  2. Open the Privacy tab.

  3. Click Manage Website Data…, then select Remove All.

  4. Click Remove Now to confirm.

  5. Close and reopen Safari.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (☰) and select History > Clear Recent History.
    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

  2. From the Time range to clear drop down, select the desired range (choose Everything to clear all data).

  3. Click the Details arrow to expand options, then select Cache, Cookies, and Browsing History.

  4. Click Clear Now.

  5. Close and reopen Firefox

Google Chrome

  1. In the address bar, type:

    chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
    
  2. Check the following:

    • Browsing history

    • Download history

    • Cookies and other site data

    • Cached images and files

  3. Under Time range, select All time (or your desired range).

  4. Click Clear data.

  5. Close and reopen Chrome.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the Settings and more (three dots) icon → SettingsPrivacy, search, and services.

  2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.

  3. Choose a Time range (for example, All time).

  4. Select the data types you want to delete (such as Browsing history, Cookies, and Cached images and files).

  5. Click Clear now.

  6. Close and reopen Edge.


Internet Explorer (Version 9 and Higher)

Note: Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft. It is recommended to use Microsoft Edge or another modern browser instead.

  1. Click the Gear iconSafetyDelete browsing history…
    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.

  2. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data.

  3. Select:

    • Temporary Internet files (or Temporary Internet and website files)

    • Cookies and website data

    • History

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
