Prerequisites / Minimum Requirements
Before beginning, confirm that all the following are true:
- Student has added the parent as a Proxy/Authorized User in The NEST.
- Student granted the Authorized User/Parent the Tax Notification 1098T authorization.
- The Authorized User/Parent has completed the one-time proxy account setup (received invitation emails, set a permanent password).
- The Authorized User/Parent knows their login email address and password.
Note: If the parent has not yet been set up as a proxy, the student should follow the separate article: Set up Parent Proxy Management in NEST.
End State / Outcome
Authorized Users/Parents will be able to download their students 1098-T form from The NEST.
How to Steps
Step 1: Navigate to The NEST
Open a web browser and go to:
https://thenest.creighton.edu
On the NEST, locate and click the Authorized User/Parent tile.

Step 2: Sign In with Proxy Credentials
You will be directed to the Proxy Sign In page. Enter the email address and password that were established during your proxy account setup, then click Sign In.
Note: This is NOT the student’s Creighton NetID login. Parents use their own email address and the password they created when accepting the proxy invitation.

Step 3: Select the Student and Navigate to Tax Notification
After signing in, you will land on the Banner Proxy Access home screen. You will see a tile for the student(s) you are authorized to view. Click the student’s tile to expand the available menu options.
From the expanded menu, click Tax Notification 1098T.

Step 4: View or Download the 1098-T Form
The Tax Notification page will load. If a 1098-T form is available for the selected tax year, it will be displayed here. You may view, print, or download the form for use when filing taxes.
Note: If the page reads No 1098-T form available to view, the form may not yet have been issued for that tax year, or the student may not have met the threshold for receiving a 1098-T. Contact the Bursar’s Office for further assistance.
