  • Open Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents after possible security risks were detected.

How to Steps

 If you are unable to open Word, PowerPoint, or Excel documents due to the possible security risks (malware) within the document:

1.    Open Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.

2.    Click File.

3.    Click Options.

4.    Click Trust Center.

5.    Click Trust Center Settings.

6.    Click Protected View.

7.    Uncheck all three boxes.

8.    Click OK.

9.    Click OK.

10.  Try to open document again.
