Setting up new Pluggable Docking Station for Mac Systems

How to Steps

  1. Setup the docking station with monitors and plug into the Mac system via included USB-C cable.
  2. On the laptop click Allow Accessory to Connect.
  3. Download drivers (Display Link Manager) from the following location:

        https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos

  1. Run application after download.  Once installed successfully, user will get the following message, Display Link Manager would like to record this computer’s screen and audio.
  2. Click Open System Settings in this window.
  3. Toggle the switch next to Display Link Manager.
  4. A window will appear, select Quit and Reopen.
  5. Connected external monitors will now begin to function.

**If the laptop screen freezes and the external displays have an odd resolution, unplug the monitors from the docking station, wait 5 seconds, and plug them back in**

  1. Make sure to now select Launch Automatically after Login inside the Display Link Manager application.
  2. Go to Settings -> Display to configure the external monitor left to right orientation.
  3. Restart system to confirm monitor functionality.
