Answer
The MyIT service desk has no ability to grant Sodexo employees access to Creighton Print Services, or bypass Canon's control of their printers by setting up direct IP printing for any user.
Printing is paid for by the department an employee works for. Printing is not provided for free. When attempting to print to a Canon printer, a "Cost Center" window will appear asking for a cost code if a user is not authorized to use the print system. Printer access needs to be associated with a person's NetID in the Creighton HR system so that the "Cost Center" message does not appear when trying to print.
Sodexo is contracted by Student Services. As a Sodexo employee, Student Services is the department required to pay for Sodexo employee print jobs. Sodexo employees wishing to use the Canon print services need to contact the Swanson Hall front office, room 136, for assistance. Personnel in that office can contact the current person in charge of resolving Sodexo issues. That person can contact Creighton HR on behalf of the Sodexo employee and likely gain him or her access to Canon print services.
