How to Steps

To share a file using Office 365 OneDrive:

  1. Go to the office365.creighton.edu and sign in with your NetID and Blue Password and select OneDrive.


 

  1. Select the file or folder you want to share, and then click Share.
  2. Enter the names of the people you want to share with and a message, if needed.
  3. (Optional) Click the drop-down list to change the type of link. The Details pane opens. Here you can change who can access the link and if people can edit the file or folder that you’re sharing. 

Options for who would you like this link to work for (options vary based on administrative settings):

  • Anyone gives access to anyone who receives this link, whether they receive it directly from you or forwarded from someone else. This may include people outside of your organization.
  • People in gives everyone in your organization access to the link, whether they receive it directly from you or forwarded from someone else.
  • Specific people gives access only to the people you specify, although other people may already have access. If people forward the sharing invitation, only people who already have access to the item will be able to use the link.
  1. By default, Allow editing is turned on. If you want people to only view your files, uncheck the check box.
  2. When you're finished, click Apply.
  3. When you’re ready to send the link, click Send.

If you are the file owner, or have edit permissions, you can stop or change the sharing permissions in OneDrive.
After someone shares a file with you in OneDrive, that file will automatically appear in the Shared with Me list.
